Street of the Four Winds - composed by Melody Eotvos in 2019:

After years of working with the award winning and acclaimed composer, Dr Melody Eötvös, we approached Melody to write a piece of music for an upcoming tour of aged care facilities around Victoria. The result was this piece that is at once exhilarating and filled with nostalgia. The combination of expert composition and Inventi’s ability to make eight people sound like an orchestra, Street of the Four Winds sounds almost like a symphony at times, before being brought back to the most intimate of moments.

In the words of Melody: “From 2008-2010 I was completely obsessed with the short stories of Robert W. Chambers: Psychological Horror written in the late 1800’s. The good stuff. I was so focused on this literature it even annoyed my Doctoral composition professors! Unsurprisingly in 2019 after I moved back to Australia, while unpacking I opened this book again and got completely drawn back into the stories, in particular to this one, Street of the Four Winds, which of course is a beautifully strange and twisted love story with a sweet but stomach turning ending.”
